2008 NFL Draft

First Edition 3/4/08

ROUND ONE:

1. MIAMI DOLPHINS ----  Chris Long - DE - Virginia
I think this is who the Big Tuna will pick but I think Jake Long is a better pick.  I am a firm believer that the Offensive Line dictates the success of your team.  The Fins have either released or lost via free agency both of their starting tackles from last year along with one of their key reserves at the Tackle position.  I would not be surprised to see Matt Ryan go first, but after watching most of his games last year I think he is far from a sure thing.

2. ST. LOUIS RAMS  ----- Jake Long - OT - Michigan
A lot of people have the Rams taking a DE or even a DT, but Bulger suffered many injuries at the hands of the Rams front 5.  Long could be a staple for years to come and is very good and athletic.

3. ATLANTA FALCONS --- Matt Ryan - QB - Boston College
I did have McFadden going in this spot until they signed Michael Turner.  The Falcons need a QB.  Chris Redman looks to be the starter as of right now and although I think he is better than most give him credit for, he is not the answer.

4. OAKLAND RAIDERS --- Glenn Dorsey - DT - LSU
This is not a pick I like.  The Raiders obviously need to replace Warren Sapp.  I would prefer if they went with Sedrick Ellis, but I have a filling that the 105 year old owner will want Dorsey.  He is an injury risk and should not be going in the top 5.

5. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS --- Vernon Gholston -DE / OLB- Ohio St.
This man is a freak and I believe will be better than Chris Long.  The Chiefs need a lot of help especially on the offensive line, but having the tandum of Tamba and Vernon for years to come will make opposing QB's release the ball a little quicker than they would like.

6. NEW YORK JETS --- Darren McFadden - RB - Arkansas
I could easily see McFadden going to the Raiders and that is where I think he will end up, but the Raiders have a lot of money tied up at that position so he falls to the J-E-T-S.  New York will love him.

7. NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (49ers) --- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie - CB - Tenn St.
Dude was a freak at the combine.  Has good genes (cousin to the reigning NFL INT leader Antonio) and can flat out cover.  I could see the Patriots also taking Sedrick Ellis or even trading out of this spot for more picks as their seem to be a lot of quality CB's in this years draft.

8. BALTIMORE RAVENS --- Ledois McKelvin - CB - Troy St.
The Ravens could possibly grab Brian Brohm with this pick, but I do not think he is good enough to be taking 8th.  The CB's for the Ravens are getting old and its time for some youth to stop Big Ben, Anderson and Palmer in the NFC North.

9. CINCY BENGALS --- Sedrick Ellis - DT - USC
The Bengals picks in a good position.  Someone with a lot of talent will still be available here and do not have to pay top 5 money for them.  Bengals need to improve on defense and this is a step in the right direction.

10. NAW'LIN SAINTS --- Kentwan Balmer - DE - UNC
The next Julius Peppers.  Well maybe not, but the man is good.  The saints could go with a CB with this pick but I think they need to improve their pass rush.  Vilma was  a great pick-up and Balmer will supply much needed pressure.

11. BUFFALO BILLS --- Limas Sweed - WR - Texas
Whoever the bills have rated as the highest WR will be picked here.  I think it will be Sweed or Malcom Kelly.  A lot of people have Desean Jackson going here, but I think the bills need someone with some height to go along with Lee Evans.

12. DENVER BRONCOS --- Kenny Phillips - S - Miami
John Lynch decided to come back, but I think this will be his last year.  Phillips is the highest rated Safety so it would be a good Need pick for the broncos.  I would not be surprised to see them go with Desean Jackson or another WR.

13. CAROLINA PANTHERS --- Rashard Mendenhall - RB - Illinois
Carolina fell apart without Jake Delhomme.  The RB combo of Foster and Williams did not work.  Mendenhall is a big RB who can pound the ball and would allow Williams to be the speed back he is creating a great duo at RB.  Again, Carolina may have Stewart rated higher.

14. CHICAGO BEARS --- Ryan Clady - OT - Boise St.
Cedric Benson is not that bad.  Repeat Cedric Benson is not that bad.  The Offensive Line for the Bears needs help.  Clady is probably the best available lineman, although Chris Williams is good as well.

15. DETROIT LIONS --- Keith Rivers - LB - USC
Rock City needs help on Defense.  They draft Offensive every year and to be honest they could possibly draft a RB here.  Rivers or Connor would work well here.

16. ARIZONA CARDINALS --- Mike Jenkins - CB - South Florida
Cardinals are moving Antrelle Rolle to S and the Cards will need a CB to replace him.  Jenkins is a great cover CB and will be able to start right away.

17. MINNESOTA VIKINGS --- Derrick Harvey - DE - Florida
Minnesota might be afraid to deal with a Gator after Thomas' drug bust, but Harvey does not present Character issues and would be a great addition to the Purple D.

18. HOUSTON TEXANS --- Malcom Kelly - WR - Oklahoma
RB could be an option here but I think they will see what Ahman Green has left first.  They have one of the best WR's in the game but need another target to take away the double coverage.  Desean Jackson could go here as well.

19. PHILADELPHIA EAGLES --- Chris Williams - OT - Vanderbilt
The Eagles should take one a WR here, but they seem to be shy from taking a WR in the 1st RD ever since Freddie Mitchell.  Williams will prove to be an all pro and better than Clady.

20. TAMPA BAY BUCS --- Philip Merling - DE - Clemson
Teaming back up with Gaines Adams could lead to a great pass rush for years to come for the Bucs who are known for their Defense.

21. WASHINGTON REDSKINS --- Desean Jackson - WR - California
The skins are sitting out on Free Agency this year, which is new.  They have expressed a want for a playmaking WR and there may be no better playmaker than Jackson.

22. DALLAS COWBOYS (Clev) --- Felix Jones - RB - Arkansas
Jerry will get his Arkansas boy.  WR is a possibility here, as is CB.

23. PITTSBURGH STEELERS --- Branden Albert - G - Virginia
The best Guard in the draft.  The Steelers need to re-build their line if they plan to have Big Ben around long enough to fulfill his new contract.  Other possibilities include Cason/Otah/Stewart/Hardy.

24. TENNESSEE TITANTS --- James Hardy - WR - Indiana
VY needs help.  Hardy is a tall WR from the Big Ten who single handedly dropped Justin King down the draft ladder.  He is a play maker and reminds me of Plaxico Burress.

25. SEATTLE SEAHAWKS --- Jonathan Stewart - RB - Oregon
Alexander no longer cuts it.  Duckett signed a 5-year deal but I do not think he is the answer.  Stewart played in nearby Oregon and would be a big hit with the Fans.  Hawks might go WR or CB here.

26. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS --- Quentin Groves - DE - Auburn
The Jags lost their starting DE and DT.  Groves is the best available out of these two positions and will help reassure the Jags D is at the top of the league.

27. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS --- Antoine Cason - CB - Arizona
This is their only pick until Round 5 and they need to address a need.  They lost Florence in free agency and Cason could step in and replace him.

28. DALLAS COWBOYS --- Devin Thomas - WR - Michigan State
TO is geting old and Glenn probably just got injured.  Either way, the boys need another go to receiver and Thomas is good.  Romo will be happy.  Could go CB here.

29. SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (Indy) --- Dan Connor - LB - Penn State
The niners make a lot of moves and their best one has been drafting LB Patrick Willis.  They should stick with what works best and take the best available LB and continue to build that Defense.  Could take Otah or Talib here.

30. GREEN BAY PACKERS --- Jeff Otah - OT - Pittsburgh
Aaron Rodgers is now their man and the first thing they do will draft some protection for the inexperienced gun slinger.  Could take CB here.

31. NEW YORK GIANTS --- Jamar Adams - S - Michigan
I am sure I will change this pick at some point.  But for now, G-men take #2 safety to replace Gibril Wilson.  They would love to see Connor fall to them.

ROUND TWO:

32. Miami --- Carl Nicks - OT - Nebraska
The fins could go QB here if they do not pick up Matt Ryan with the #1 pick.  They lost about 20 tackles this offseason and Nicks would be a good fit.

33. St. Louis --- Calais Campbell - DE - Miami
Leonard Little is getting old.  Campbell has a lot of talent but does he have the desire?

34. Oakland --- Sam Baker - OT - USC
Started a lot of games for USC and will do the same for the Raiders protecting Russell.

35. Kansas City --- Gosder Cherilus - G - Boston College
KC could not run the ball last year and that had a lot to do with the line.  Could go QB here, but I think Croyle deserves a shot.

36. New York Jets --- Early Doucet - WR - LSU
Jets continue to revamp its offense and give Clemons some weapons to work with next year and the years to come.

37. Atlanta --- Aqib Talib - CB - Kansas
There is a lot of talent at the CB position in this draft and the Falcons will probably deal away Hall this year or next and Talib brings talent without the baggage.

38. Baltimore Ravens --- Brian Brohm - QB - Louisville
The Ravens will be excited if he is still on the board.  They may take him in the First Round, but I think he will slide depending on whether the Dolphins take a QB.

39. San Francisco --- Chio Rachal - G - USC
Niners start to address their O-line needs and take a dependable Guard who played nearby.

40. New Orleans --- Fred Davis - TE - USC
Saints may go CB here, but a solid TE will complete their offense.

41. Buffalo --- Brandon Flowers - CB - Virginia Tech
Bills are lucky to get such a quality player whose stock fell at the combine.  Flowers is a hard hitter and good cover man.

42. Denver --- Xavier Adibi - LB - Virginia Tech
Broncos wanted Vilma and did not get him.  They could go WR or DT here as well.  Adibi is one of the top LB's in the draft class which is not saying a whole lot.

43. Carolina --- Dre Moore - DT - Maryland
A solid run stopper will help solidify the Panthers defense and get them back on top of the D rankings.

44. Chicago --- Andrew Caldwell - WR - Florida
Bears may go QB here.  But if they think Grossman can be their man then why not take another Gator who can help him succeed.  He won't wow you, but he is consistent.

45. Detroit --- Trevor Laws - DT - Notre Dame
The loss of Shaun Rogers is big.  Laws will do his best to help fill the Gap.

46. Cinncy --- Josh Barrett - S - Arizona State
The Bengals D could always use help.  Barrett can take over for the lose of Madieu Williams and step in and start right away.

47. Minnesota --- Chad Henne - QB - Michigan
The Vikes will have to take the Midwestern QB if he is available.  Jackson is not the answer.  Henne could very well be gone by now as the Bears may take him.

48.  Atlanta (Hou) --- Mario Manningham - WR - Michigan
Does not have the best workout numbers, but he performs when it matters.

49. Philadelphia --- Jordy Nelson - WR - Kansas State
Eagles have to pick a WR sooner rather than later.  Nelson is the best available.

50. Arizona --- Chris Johnson - RB - East Carolina
Johnson is a stud - the type of back the Steelers would want and since Whisenhunt and Grimm are ex-steelers they will take Johnson.

51. Washington --- Lawrence Jackson - DE - USC
A solid denfseman, Jackson was a force for USC.  Could go Safety here, but not a lot of talent at that position.

52. Tampa Bay --- Reggie Smith - CB - Oklahoma
Again another great CB who can help solidify the Bucs defense.  WR is an option but would be a reach to go for one at this point.

53. Pittsburgh --- Tracy Porter - CB - Indiana
Porter is a play-maker and the Steelers could use a reliable CB.  Could go OL here.

54. Tennessee --- Cliff Avril - DE - Purdue
Takes the place of a free agent and will fill a need that has been left void.

55. Seattle --- Marcus Howard - LB - Georgia
The hawks would like to go WR here but no WR warrants a pick at this point in the draft.  Howard is a solid defender and will fit in nicely with the hawks defense.

56. Green Bay (Clev) --- Terrell Thomas - CB - USC
How many CB's are there? Green Bay is good at CB but they are old there.  Would be good to take a young guy to learn and take over.

57. Miami (SD) --- Joe Flacco - QB - Delaware
Dude has a cannon and the Big Tuna likes Big QB's (Bledsoe).  Flacco could use a year of good instruction and there is a lot of upside with the Big QB.  Needs to add some weight.

58. Jacksonville --- Tom Zbikowski - S - Notre Dame
Hard Hitter and a leader.  Will go nicely with the Jags Secondary and the way they play football.

59. Dallas --- Justin King - CB - Penn State
King has skills but needs some work.  Cowboys are in position to allow King to sit or be a reserve for a year and polish his skills.

60. Green Bay --- Brad Cottam - TE - Tennessee
Weapon that will allow Rodgers to throw short and ease his way into winning the Packs' fanbase.

61. Indianapolis --- Curtis Lofton - LB - Oklahoma
This is their first pick and will get  a proven leader on Defense.  Lofton was one of the best players on one of the best Defenses in college football.

62. New England --- Anthony Collins - OT - Kansas
The usually solid O-line for the Pats looked awful in the super bowl.  Collins could be used as a back-up and may be a future starter.

63. New York Giants --- Erin Henderson - LB - Maryland
Giants lost out on Connor in the first round, but get a charismatic playmaker in Erin Henderson.

ROUND THREE:

64. Miami --- Eddie Royal - WR - Virginia Tech
Royal can team of with Ginn Jr. and give the Dolphins a 1-2 punch for years to come.

65. St. Louis --- William Franklin - WR - Missouri
Chase Daniel's favorite target will be able to fill the hold left by Isaac Bruce and be the Rams 3rd WR.

66. Kansas City --- Mike McGlynn - OT - Pittsburgh
Continuation of rebuilding that O-line for LJ to run through.

67. Carolina (NYJ) --- Andre Woodson - QB - Kentucky
Woodson could easily be gone by now, but if not the Panthers will jump all over him.  Delhomme is coming off an injury and they released Carr and Testaverde.

68. Atlanta --- Dustin Keller - TE - Purdue
Falcons lost Vick's main target of Alge Crumpler and Keller would be a good pick to fill this spot.

69. New England (Oak) --- Jerod Mayo - LB - Tennessee
Pats need to start getting some young LB's for the future.  Mayo is best available.

70. San Francisco --- John Grecco - OT - Toledo
One of those great lineman that went to a small school.  Grecco could help open some holes for Gore and protect whatever lousy QB they use.

71. Buffalo (Baltimore) --- Craig Steltz - S - LSU
Steltz could fill in the spot left void with the loss of Coy Wire.

72. Jacksonville (Buffalo) --- Tony Hills - OT - Texas
The jags will look for depth on the O-line with this pick.

73. Minnesota (Denver) --- Marcus Harrison - DT - Arkansas
Vikings need to pressure the QB to help their secondary.  Harrison could open some holes for Henderson and Co.

74. Carolina --- Drew Radovinch - G - USC
Radovinch was a regular for USC and could fill in for the departed Wahle.

75. Chicago --- D.J. Hall - WR - Alabama
They lost Berrian and Muhammed and will need to add plenty of WR's to try and take their place.  Hall is fully recovered form his freakish accident and has plenty of talent.

76. Detroit --- Jameel Charles - RB - Texas
Lions are shaky at best at the RB position and could address this need early on in the draft.  would not be surprised to see a CB or S go here.  He can catch well as we know the Lions like to pass.

77. Cinncy --- Philip Wheeler - LB - Georgia Tech
More Defense for the Bengals.  Wheeler was fantastic at GT and could start right away.  Could be an O-lineman here.

78. New Orleans --- Quentin Demps - S - UTEP
This would be a great find for the Saints if he is still available.  Secondary is a concern and Demps could provide great coverage.

79. Houston --- Mike Pollack - C - Arizona State
Texans need a Center and Pollack is the best C in the draft.

80. Philadelphia --- Chris Ellis - DE - Virginia Tech
Ellis could add depth and reliability at the DE spot left void by the Freak.

81. Arizona --- Roy Schuening - G - Oregon State
Could be gone by now, Big Roy will help the Cardinal running game.

82. Minnesota --- Terrence Wheatley - CB - Colorado
Vikes secondary is suspect at best and this could be a welcome addition.

83. Tampa Bay --- Adarius Bowman - WR - Oklahoma State
Bowman is a big target and could take away from the focus on Galloway and provide a red zone target.

84. Washington --- Lavalle Hawkins - WR - California
Hawkins is too good for the skins to pass up.  This will allow Washington to get two quality WR's who are familiar with one another.

85. Tennessee --- DeMario Pressley - DT - NC State
Titans were terrible when Haynesworth was out last year and could use some depth.

86. Seattle --- Adrian Arrington - WR - Michigan
Overshadowed by Manningham, Arrington will be a new kind of WR in Seattle.  One that does not drop the ball.

87. Detroit (Clev) --- John David Booty - QB - USC
Possible successor to Kitna.  Booty will get to do the same thing Palmer did.  Graduate from USC, let Kitna teach you some things and then............

88. Pittsburgh --- Barry Richardson - OT - Clemson
Steelers continue to build their O-line with this pick.  Could go with a RB (Forte?) here.

89. Jacksonville --- Red Bryant - DT - Texas A&M
Jags need to find a DT and Bryant is the best available.

90. Chicago (SD) --- Matt Forte - RB - Tulane
Many question whether Benson can be the main back.  Forte will provide some options.

91. Green Bay --- Shawn Crable - LB - Michigan
Hawk could use some Co. at the LB spot and Crable would be a reliable back-up.

92. Dallas --- Nick Haydin - DT - Wisconsin
Cowboys lost Fegueson to the Fins and haydin will get a chance at some playing time.

93. Indianapolis --- Eric Young - G - Tennessee
Colts may lose some lineman due to free agency and should look to Young to add depth.

94. New England --- Patrick Lee - CB - Auburn
Pats lost Samuels and Gay.  Lee could prove to be a great addition.

95. New York Giants --- Ray Rice - RB - Rutgers
G-men have two quality backs but as they learned last year you can never have too many.  Will be a fan favorite pick.  Could go LB here as they need more bodies at that position.

-----Compensatory Picks Will Be Added Here----

ROUND FOUR:

96. Miami --- Kevin Smith - RB - Central Florida
If Ronnie Brown can come back from his injury the Dolphins will have a top 5 back which would allow them to take a chance with Smith.  A lot of potential with little risk.

97. St. Louis --- Steve Justice - C - Wake Forest
Hopefully he fares better than Winston.  Eagle fans know how bad he is.  St. Lou continues to add depth and options to the Offensive line.

98.  New York Jets --- Dejuan Morgan - CB - NC State
I am amazed at the depth of the CB position in this draft.  It's like Christmas for any team that needs one.

99. Atlanta --- Jeremy Zuttah - G / T - Rutgers
Athletic lineman who can easily play G or T.  Always a bonus to get a guy who is comfortable at multiple positions.

100. Oakland --- Drew Miller - C - Florida
A common problem with all the lower tier team in the league is their lack of talent on the line.  Raiders get a solid center who could possibly win a job.

101. Kansas City --- Jonathan Goff - LB - Vanderbilt
Chiefs look for some help on Defense with Goff.  Would not be surprised to see some secondary or O-Line help here.

102. Baltimore --- Doug Legurski - C - Marshall
A little run on Centers occurs as their are only a handful of decent guys in this draft and teams are getting nervous they will not last until their next pick.

103. San Fran --- Jason Jones - DE - Eastern Michigan
A small school player with big school talent.  Jones could turn out to be one of the better DE's in this draft.

104. Denver --- Jerome Simpson - WR - South Carolina
Broncos could go for  a WR in the earlier rounds, but if not, now is the time.  Marshall turned out to be a go to guy, but they need some more targets for Cuter.

105. Carolina --- Beau Bell - LB - UNLV
Bell is hard nosed and could help the panthers forget about Dan Morgan.

106. Chicago --- Shannon Tevaga - G - UCLA
Tevaga would be an excellent backup to add to the Bears front five.

107. Detroit --- Jermichael Finley - TE - Texas
Lions could use a short yard target and allow Kitna to get his completion percentage up and Int's down.

108. Cinncy --- Wallace Gillberry - DE - Alabama
Bengals are working on a trade for a DE, but if it does not work they take the top rated DE on the board.  Could grab a WR here.

109. New York Jets (n.o.) --- Josh Johnson - QB - San Diego
Dude put up unbelievable numbers in college.  Would be a very good pick for the JETS.  Let him sit with Pennington and if Clemons does not work out will have a chance to show what he can do.

110. Buffalo --- Wesley Woodyard - LB - Kentucky
KY was not a defensive powerhouse, but Woodyard was one bright spot.

111. Philadelphia --- Ali Highsmith - LB - LSU
A recognizable name, which may lead to him being drafted long before this pick.

112. Arizona --- Earl Bennett - WR - Vanderbilt
A solid WR who could replace Byrant Johnson and be the #3 WR in zona.  Denver may look to pick up Bennett to go with their Vandy QB.

113. Minnesota --- Trae Williams - CB - South Florida
Second So. Fla. CB to go in the draft.  Would be a good Nickel or Dime man for the Vikes.

114. Houston --- Tashard Choice - RB - Georgia Tech
A back-up for Ahman Green.

115. Denver (Wash) --- Athyba Rubin - DT - Iowa St.
A good find in the 4th Round.   Rubin could contribute right away.

116. Tampa Bay --- Heath Benedict - OT - Newberry
It's hard to tell what you get with the small school guys, but has the tools.

117. Seattle --- John Carlson - TE - Notre Dame
His stock has fallen some, probably because how bad ND's offense was last year.  Hawks continue to add guys that actually catch the ball.

118. Clevaland --- Kenny Iwebema - DE - Iowa
First time picking for the Browns in this draft.  Added some great players via Free Agency.  Only position they wanted and did not get was at DE and will add the best available at this point.

119. Pittsburgh --- John Sullivan - C - Notre Dame
Sullivan could have a chance to contribute as Mahan did not look impressive in his first year as the Steeler's center.

120.  Tennessee --- Charles Godfrey - CB - Iowa
Titans need to forget about Pacman Jones.  Godfrey is not pacman, but I just wanted to say "make it rain."

121. Jacksonville --- Adam Kraus - G - Michigan
One of the reasons Hart was so good in college.

122. Dallas --- Ezra Cable - LB - Nevada
The boys look to add to their weakness -- defense.

123. Indianapolis --- Donnie Avery - WR - Houston
Kolb's favorite target from College, could add to the colts WR corps.  Very fast.

124. Green Bay ---Frank Okam - DT - Texas
A run stopper will add depth and fight to take over the void left by Williams departure.

125. New England --- Keenan Burton - WR - Kentucky
Pats have signed many of their WR's so may go with a LB here.

126. New York Giants --- Owen Schmidt - FB - West Virginia
Best FB available.  A position the G-men need to fill. Get a leader with this pick.  Could go LB here.

ROUND FIVE:

127. Kansas City (miami) --- Erik Ainge - QB - Tennessee
Ainge will sit and see what happens with Croyle.

128. St. Louis --- Robert Felton - G - Arkansas
Rams should just pick O-lineman the whole draft.

129. Atlanta --- Tavares Goodman - LB - Miami
Picking a LB from Miami is always a good idea.

130. Denver (Oakland) --- Kirk Barton - OT - Ohio State
Barton has been a big contributor to Ohio State's 2 runner up finishes.

131. Kansas City --- Harry Douglas - WR - Louisville
Chiefs may look to add a WR before this pick as they cut Kennison, Douglas could be a decent 3 WR.

132. Carolina (NYJ) --- Martellius Bennett - TE - Texas A&M
Some have Bennett as being a top 2 TE.  Nice pick up for the Panthers.

133. San Fran. --- Dexter Jackson - WR - App. St.
Reminds me of the Michigan game.  Niners need some quality WR's so why not take a chance.

134. Chicago (Car) --- Jameel McClain - LB - Syracuse
Not many bright spots for the Orange these days.  McClain was definitely the star of that team.  Give Urlacher a back-up.

135. Jacksonville (Buf)(Chi) --- Chevis Jackson - CB - LSU
Four year starter for the Tigers may be gone by now.  Just goes to show you how many quality CB's are in this draft.

136. Detroit --- Mike Hart - RB - Michigan
Fan pick.  Local michigan standout Hart is undersized (barry sanders?) no he is not the next sanders, but could compete for some playing time.

137. Cinncy --- David Roach - S - TCU
Bengals need to replace Williams.  He could help with this task.

138. New Orleans --- Cody Wallace - C - Texas A&M
Saints lost their starter, but like their back-up and will need a new back-up.

139. Buffalo --- Greyson Gunheim - DE - Washington
Put the pressure on Colt Brennan in the only game I saw him play.  Has a good name and use to playing in the cold.

140. Denver --- Jealen Pamele - RB - Toledo
Big back and lets face it, the broncos can take any guy off the street and make him a 1,000 yd rusher.

141. Arizona --- Duane Brown - OT - Virginia Tech
Levi turned out to be pretty solid.  Brown could be a reliable backup.

142. Minnesota --- Steve Johnson - WR - Kentucky
Looked good receiving the ball from Woodson.

143. Houston --- Fernando Velasco - C - Georgia
Helped the Bulldogs to a fantastic year rushing the ball.

144. Philadelphia --- Payton Hills - FB - Arkansas
Philly lost Tapeh and need a solid blocking back.  Enter Hills.

145. Tampa Bay --- Darell Robertson - DT - Georgia Tech
A body for the D-Line.

146. New York Jets (Wash) --- Ben Moffit - South Florida
So. Fla getting their 3rd Defender drafted.  Jets lost Vilma and need some more LB's.

147. Cleveland --- DeJuan Tribble - CB - Boston College
Could become a starter right away.  Use to the cold weather and a good find this late in the draft.

148. Pittsburgh --- Tyrell Johnson - SS - Arkansas State
Johnson is a heavy hitter and the steelers love guys like him.  Probably should focus more on a safety who can cover, but can't go wrong with someone who likes to hit.

149. Tennessee --- Geno Hayes - LB - Florida State
A well-know body at FSU, Hayes is a little slow but has a nose for the ball.

150. Seattle --- Taylor Mehlaf - K - Wisconsin
Josh Brown is now on the Rams and Mehlaf is the best Kicker in the draft.

151. Jacksonville --- Andrew Bain - G - Miami
Jags continue to search for reliable back ups on the O-line.

152. San Diego --- Jehuu Caulcrick - FB - Michigan State
Lorenzo Neal moved on and with only their second pick of the draft Chargers draft for need.

153.  Indianapolis --- Kirk Elder - G - Texas A&M
Peyton was rushed more last year and colts need to solidify that line.

154. Green Bay --- Anthony Morelli - QB - Penn State
May be the only player in the draft that can compare to Favre's speed on throwing the football.  Would be a good lifetime back-up behind Rodgers.

155. Dallas --- Simeon Castille - S - Alabama
Roy Williams eventual Replacement, Castille is the real deal.

156. New England --- Zack Bowman - CB - Nebraska
More depth added at the depleted CB position.

157. New York Giants --- Vince Hall - LB - Virginia Tech
Giants need LB's and Hall is the best available.

ROUND SIX:

158. Miami --- Jonathan Zenon - CB - LSU
Pick some winners and you may start to win.

159. St. Louis --- Jeremy Lehman - LB - Illinois
A somewhat local guy could be a pleasant surprise on Rams Defense.

160. Oakland --- Maurice Purify - WR - Oakland
If Walker plays like he can the Raiders will be happy, but still need some extra guys at the WR position.

161. Kansas City --- Tyvon Branch - CB - Connecticut
Ty Law may be let go and if he is, the Chiefs may look to grab a CB earlier in the draft.

162. New York Jets --- Jamey Richard - C - Buffalo
A back-up at the Center position.

163. Atlanta --- Tommy Blake - DE - TCU
A nice article on him in the Sporting News a few weeks back.

164. Baltimore --- Bruce Davis - LB - UCLA
Ray Lew is not getting any younger.

165. San Fran --- Caleb Campbell - S - Army
Could be involved in a nickel or dime package and contribute on special teams.

166. Chicago --- Kevin O'Connell - QB - San Diego St.
I could see Da Bears drafting a QB in the first or second round, but if they don't O'Connell would be a great pick up at this point in the draft.

167. Detroit --- Shannon Boatman - OT - FSU
A big lineman who could one day be a solid Right Tackle.

168. Cinncy --- Martin Rucker - TE - Missouri
Palmer has yet to have a good TE.

169. New Orleans --- Spencer Larson - LB - Arizona
Larson could play behind Vilma.

170. Buffalo --- Bernard Morris - QB - Marshall
An athletic QB could be a good 3rd string for the Bills.

171. St. Louis (Denver) --- Marcus Griffin - S - Texas
Michael's brother would be a steal this late in the draft.

172. Carolina --- Dwight Lowery - CB - San Jose St.
Dime type guy.

173. Philadelphia (Min) --- Michael Grant - S - Arkansas
May need to grab another CB somewhere if Lito leaves.

174. Houston --- Oneil Cousins - OT - UTEP
Big lineman that could be good on Scout - O.

175. Philadelphia --- Steve Slaton - RB - West Virginia
Could be gone by now based on College stats.  Has a lot to prove at the next level but well worth a shot.  Gets to learn from one of the best.

176. Arizona --- Detroy Guion - DT - Florida State
Can be a force against stopping the run.

177. Washington --- Carlton Medder - OT - Florida
Helped protect Tebow during the few times he stayed in the pocket.

178. Kansas City (Tampa) --- Matt Spanos - C - USC
Good pick for the Chiefs and the line.

179. Pittsburgh --- Mario Urrutia - WR - Louisville
Big Ben gets his Big WR.  Could be a solid Red Zone target.

180. Tennessee --- Dennis Dixon - QB - Oregon
Coming off an injury his stock falls some.  Would  be nice to have a backup to VY that plays like VY.

181. Cleveland (Sea) --- Allen Patrick - RB - Oklahoma
Allow him to compete to be a 3rd down back.

182. Philadelphia (Clev) --- Chad Rinehart - G - Northern Iowa
Never can have too many lineman.

183. San Diego --- Justin Forsett - RB - California
Lost one of the best backups in the league will need add a RB to compete for the 3rd RB spot.

184. Minnesota (Jacksonville) --- Corey McKeon - LB - Nebraska
Seeing a guy from Nebraska does not mean the same as it did 10 years ago.

185. New York Giants (Green Bay) --- Matt Flynn - QB - LSU
Look for a lifelong backup to Eli.

186. Dallas --- Jacob Hester --- FB - LSU
MOOSE.  Not so much, but Hester is a tough back.

187.  Indianapolis --- Chase Ortiz - DE - TCU
Colts may look for a DE sooner as Freeney gets older.

188. New England --- Cory Boyd - RB - South Carolina
Faulk getting himself in the dog house.  Boyd would be a great 3rd down back who catches the ball well.

189. New York Giants --- Kellen Davis - TE - Michigan State
It looks like Shockey is staying for now, but I think he tears the team apart.

ROUND SEVEN:

190. Miami --- Brandon Keith - OT - Northern Iowa
Dolphins cut 3 OT's in the offseason need bodies.

191. St. Louis --- Anwuan Molden - CB - Eastern Kentucky
Rams hope he can help the secondary or on special teams.

192. Kansas City --- Jack Williams - CB - Kent State
see above.

193. New York Jets --- Craig Stevens - TE - California
Offense continues to get help through this draft.

194. Atlanta --- Donald Thomas - G - Connecticut
Proved he could do it on Saturdays.  What about Sundays?

195. Oakland --- Brandon Couto - K - Georgia
Fat Boy Slim has been shaky for Da Raiders.  Couto has a big leg.

196. San Fran --- Colt Brennan - QB - Hawaii
Why not see what he can do.

197. Baltimore --- Brandon Ore - RB - Virginia Tech
Ravens need some depth at RB and Ore was solid at VT.

198. Detroit --- Tony Joiner - S - Florida
May not be the best S but is a leader and works hard.  Detroit could use someone like that.

199. Cinncy --- Titus Brown - LB - Mississippi State
Will add depth to the LB position.

200. New Orleans --- Chad Simpson - RB - Morgan State
Very fast and will add depth to an oft-injured RB position.

201. Buffal0 --- Jed Collins - FB - Washington State
Bills will look to add a FB in the draft.

202. Denver --- Adam Oliver - DE - Georgia Tech
Best D-lineman left.

203. Carolina --- Geoff Schwartz - OT - Oregon
Helped open holes for Stewart in College. Dude is huge but slow.

204. Chicago --- Jonathan Hefney - S - Tennessee
I probably have him falling way too far but the Bears find a good one in the last round.

205. Houston --- Bryan Kehl - LB - BYU
Dominated in College, Kehl coudl be a great addition.

206. Buffalo (Philly) --- Jonathan Wilhite - CB - Auburn
More bodies in the secondary to stop the Pats.

207. Arizona --- Durant Brooks - P - Georgia Tech
The only Punter I have getting drafted could start right away.

208. Minnesota --- Marcus Walker - CB - Oklahoma
Vikes are bad against pass and could give Walker a look.

209. Tampa Bay --- Jacob Tamme - TE - Kentucky
The bucs could use a pass receiving TE.

210. Washington --- D.J. Parker - S - Virginia Tech
R.I.P Taylor, skins need another Safety.

211. Tennessee --- Robbie Powell - C - Purdue
Protect the "Young."

212. Philadelphia (Seattle) --- Nile Legania - KR - Wayne State
Dude ran a 4.2 40, would be a could risk pick and try him at returning the ball.  Was a CB in college.

213. Cleveland --- Jordan Dizon - LB - Colorado
The Buffs were solid on D thanks in part to Dizon.

214. Atlanta (Pittsburgh) --- Gary Guyton - LB - Georgia Tech
A hometown pick.

215. Jacksonville --- Marcus Monk - WR - Arkansas
Tall WR to add to the mix.

216. San Diego --- Chris McDuffie - G - Clemson
Backup for the O-line.

217. Dallas --- Kendal Langford - DT - Hampton
Boys look for future NT.

218. Indianapolis --- Chauncy Washington - RB - USC
unfortunate injuries and grades ended his college career early.  VERY talented and well worth a 7th Round pick.

219. Green Bay --- Rodrick Johnson - LB - Oklahoma State
Someone to make tackles for the 2nd Team Defense.

220. New England --- Brian Johnston - DE - Gardner-Webb
May see some time in blow outs.

221. Kansas City (NYG) --- Justin Tyron - CB / KR - Arizona State
Still looking to replace Dante Hall at the returner position.
